Did you know a high-efficiency water heater can reduce your water heating costs by up to 50 percent? To purchase a qualified model, call a trusted contractor or visit your local home improvement store. Be sure to check the manufacturer’s label or ask a store associate to verify the energy factor (EF) meets program requirements and qualifies for a rebate. Receive a $300 rebate for purchasing a qualiﬁed heat pump water heater with an energy factor (EF) of 2.0 or higher. A heat pump water heater can save the average household almost $300 per year compared to a standard electric water heater.
Receive a $50 rebate for purchasing a qualiﬁed electric water heater with an energy factor of .95 or higher. High-efficiency electric water heaters use 10 to 50 percent less energy than standard electric models.*
